Marjorie Miller attended Pacific College from 1934-1938, graduating with a B.A. Marjorie was an avid tennis and volleyball player. Her letter was from volleyball where she was chosen as captain of the team in 1938. She was the manager of the women's tennis team her junior year ('36-'37). Marjorie was highly involved in many additional areas of campus life. She served on the Pacific College chapter of the Y.W.C.A. as treasurer. She was secretary for the Women's Athletic Association (W.A.A) and Vice-President of the Gold Q Club (a group for young women who earned one letter in an intercollegiate sport). She was on the yearbook staff and was also a member of the Trefian Literary Society, which promoted the literary advancements of all women on campus, both faculty and students.

Before the university switched to semesters, the spring quarter would run through May and the campus would celebrate May Day. In 1938, Marjorie's senior year, she was named the May Queen and had the honor of being crowned during the celebrations. Her counterpart was called the Cardinal, and that year it was awarded to Arney Houser.
