Product Description
XENOPURE™ Small RNA Purification Kit is a product that quickly and conveniently isolates high-quality total RNA (260/280 ratio>1.9) larger than 200 nt from various biological specimens, such as animal and plant cells, tissues, whole blood and bacteria.
In the process of sample lysis, XENOSEPA™-TR, which is a phenol-lysis buffer optimized for diverse samples, is used; and contaminants such as proteins and lipids are minimized by phase separation after adding chloroform. Moreover, extraction of high-purity RNA from plant samples containing large quantity of polyphenol, polysaccharide and lipid is possible.
In the process of RNA extraction, genomic DNA can be effectively removed by using spin-column which allows omission of DNase I enzyme treatment. The extracted RNA can be applied to various molecular biology and genetics experiments including northern blot, mRNA purification, in vitro translation, RT-PCR, real time PCR, and NGS.

Product Performance
The XENOPURE Blood Small RNA Purification Kit isolated more total RNAs from human whole blood than competitors’ kits. For gel electrophoresis, 1% agarose gel and 15% page-gel were used
Bioanalyzer analysis showed that small RNA, including miRNA, was highly condensed in the total RNA isolated using the XENOPURE Blood Small RNA Purification Kit.
Northern blotting analysis of human microRNA was conducted and showed that the XENOPURE Blood Small RNA Purification Kit isolated 160% more hsa-miR-486 and 340% more hsa-miR-92a than competitors’ kits.
