The Holy Month of Ramadan has come to an end, we have learned a lot about being generous during this time. We look forward to a week off to recuperate and ready ourselves for the last 8 weeks of KG 1. This week, we looked at different environments and identified the living things that belong there. The discussion was rich and thinking evident, we are eager to dive deeper into this unit. We were introduced to measurement, measuring things that are long and short, and beginning to use the correct language when measuring. We are busy preparing for our Student-Led Conferences and cannot wait to welcome our families into our classroom on Thursday 19 May 2022.
Another busy and productive week has come and gone. This week, we identified the letters in our names and created a name board. We are fascinated with writing letters at the moment. We looked over patterns again to remind ourselves what a pattern is. We began building puzzles that are more than 30 pieces. It is so exciting watching how our minds are growing as we step closer and closer to KG2. We tuned into our new unit by looking at four different environments (the desert, the ocean, the forest, and the polar regions) to see if we could identify what animals or plants live there.
Welcome back to term three. It has been wonderful to be back with the children after Spring break. We loved hearing the stories of traveling and beach days. It certainly sounds like everyone had a relaxing break. This week has been a busy one with adjusting to the shorter timings. On Monday, we were back in the swimming pool, loving every second of it. We were practicing writing our names and drawing pictures from our holiday. We counted and learned a little bit about Ramadan when Haya gave out a special hamper. We also celebrated Joshua's birthday. We have started this term with a bang and intend to continue in this manner.
