Thank you to all the parents who could join the Parent-Teacher Conferences. It was great sharing information on the children and cherishing all that they have achieved. This week we started our new unit of inquiry called, 'Imagination'. Tuning in began with a big box arriving in our class. We found two turtles and a baby turtle. The baby turtle was missing the shell. We have been using our imagination and thinking to give a shell to the baby turtle. We will continue going on different journeys using our imagination skills.

Welcome to all our old and new parents to KG1 D. We had a fabulous start with the new joiners this week. Everyone is settling in well and getting to know the classroom routines. Well done to old students who have been welcoming and supporting their friends to get to know the space and routine. This week we focused on getting to know each other’s names, family and drawing self-portraits. In terms of our Unit of Inquiry, we continued to explore signs and symbols. Understanding position and using positional language has been another focus activity. No school for children on 31st Jan and 1st Feb due to parent-teacher conferences.
I look forward to meeting you online during parent-teacher conferences this week. This is an opportunity for us to discuss your child’s progress this semester. Students are not required to attend the conference.
If you have signed up for a conference times slot with me, please use this link to join the meeting here at your scheduled time (which was emailed to you through the PTC Fast system). Please sign in using your personal email, rather than your child's ISAK account. I will be meeting with other parents throughout the day, so please understand that if you arrive early or late, I will not be able to admit you to the virtual meeting until the start time.
