Unresponsive or Problematic Supervisees

If a supervisee "goes dark" -- doesn't reach out to you, doesn't respond to your emails, and/or doesn't attend meetings -- please follow this procedure:

1) Email student with your concern. CC parents and CORE teacher.

If there is no response after step 1:

2) Ring parents from Roma's desk.

If there is no response after step 2:

3) Email parents with your concern. CC student, CORE teacher,  and assistant IB coordinator.

If there is no response after step 3:

4) Complete a behavior referral form; contact the supervisee's counselor in case there is an issue; and speak directly with the assistant IB coordinator.

Please make sure you are also documenting all these steps.

Although we like to use the EE journey as an opportunity to reinforce student responsibility and self-advocacy, it is your responsibility as a supervisor to follow up with students and parents as soon as any issues arise. Issues include an unresponsive student
