Assessment

Students must pass the extended essay to graduate with the IB diploma.

The marks for both the Extended Essay (out of 34) and Theory of Knowledge (out of 30) are placed on a matrix (see figure 1) to determine the bonus points a student may receive. There is a maximum of 3 bonus points.
