What is your name, and what do you do at school?
Emma Austin, I am a student teacher in Mrs. Whitley’s classroom.
What is your favorite part about working with children?
Watching my students grow and find a love for theatre.
Did you like hiding the ducks all over the school?
I loved hiding ducks, and I’m glad students enjoyed finding them. I also loved seeing other teachers and staff help us hide some and join in on the fun.
What was your dream job growing up?
My dream job was to be a marine biologist, but turns out I am much better at theatre than science!
What is your favorite musical?
Definitely Sweeney Todd.
If you had to pick another class to teach, which one would you choose?
Art or social studies.

I am Mrs.Noland, and I am the school’s media specialist/ librarian.
Which fictional character would make the best (or worst) library assistant?
The fictional character that would make the best would be Hermione Granger because she is a library enthusiast and is very organized.
What is your favorite part about working with children?
My favorite part about working with children is that they can make you laugh even if you have a bad day.
Which books would you recommend the students to read?
Books I recommend are The Insiders by Mark Oshiro and The Wednesday Wars by Gary Schmidt, MexiKid by Pedro Martin, and Ban This Book by Alan Gratz.
If you had an unlimited budget for one day, what is the first thing you would buy for the library?
I would buy a lot more graphic novels.
If you had to live inside a book for a week, which one would you pick?
I would live in the Redwall series because they have talking animals.
