NO SCHOOL
Friday, December 16th - Early Release at 1:30 p.m.
Over the last month, our entire school community focused on the word perseverance.
We kicked off our theme of perseverance with a Pride Assembly and activities, and we've highlighted it throughout the entire month. Please ask your child what they did to persevere this month.
With that, please know that all grade level teachers will be sending home reading and math homework each week. At times, this may be challenging for your student. We ask that you encourage them to persevere and do their best. If they are really struggling, put a note on the assignment, and ask the teacher to help them during the school day. Thank you for all that you do as families to partner with us to help your student grow and persevere.
Between October 24 - November 11, 2022, our school will be administering the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) to your student.
This is a screening test that the Green Bay Area Public School District is administering to all students to give the school additional information on how best to serve your student(s).
The CogAT provides a snapshot of your student's abilities in the areas of verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal functioning. The nonverbal battery tests a student’s reasoning abilities and does not require the student to use information gained from other experiences to solve problems. The CogAT takes approximately 55 minutes and is administered on a computer.
Participation is voluntary. Please contact Principal Gloudemans if you do not wish to participate. We expect to receive the test results in November 2022. At that time, a copy of your child’s results will be shared with you. You can find information from the publisher of this assessment at www.cogat.com.
Teachers will be available for conferences on Thursday, November 10th and Tuesday, November 15th. Families will be able to view available times and sign up for conferences on EduSched starting on 10/31/22.
We will share another reminder when the sign-up window opens, but now is a great time to double check that you can access your account. Please use this Guide to help you sign into your account and request a time to meet with your student(s)' teacher(s).
If you are in need of additional support signing up, please contact the main office at 920-492-2675.
Please note that students are not let into the building for breakfast 7:45 a.m. each morning.
Student supervision does not start until 7:40 a.m. Please drop you student(s) off as close to that time as possible.
Also, students should not be on the playground before the start of school. When they are dropped off or arrive at school, they should go to their assigned lines.
