Hello Lion Families,
Thank you for a wonderful start to the school year! It has been great to visit classrooms and see students engaged in the learning activities and having fun with their class. It was also great to see so many of you at the Title 1 Fall Family Night and the PTO Fall Fest. These events only strengthen the home-school partnership. It is that partnership that is crucial for students' success in the classroom and beyond. To support this, and to reflect on the progress your student has made, I encourage all families to sign up for a Parent-Teacher Conference on either November 9th or November 14th. If those days do not work, please reach out directly to your child's teacher, and they will work with you to schedule something. Lastly, if you need support scheduling your child's conference please reach out to the main office. We will make sure we help you get it all set up.
Make it a day!

It's hard to believe parent teacher conferences are right around the corner. Fall conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 9th and Tuesday, November 14th from 3:30-7:00 p.m.
Familiescan view available times and sign up for conferences on EduSched. If needed, please use this Guide to help create or sign into your account and request a time to meet with your student(s)' teacher(s).
If you have any problems setting up your eduSched account, please contact the school’s main office. If you have challenges scheduling a conference, please contact your child’s teacher, and they should be able to help you get a conference scheduled.
As the weather begins to cool off, don't forget to send along outdoor clothing to help keep your student warm for arrival, recess and departure.
From spills at lunch to falls at recess and everything in between, students frequently have accidents that require a change of clothes. Consider sending along a spare change of clothes, socks and underwear for your student to keep in their locker or backpack. The office has a limited supply of items to provide, and we appreciate your partnership to keep your student clean and comfortable during the school day.
Please join us for Family Night at Chuck E. Cheese on Thursday, Nov. 30th. (After school until 9 pm). More information will be coming home to families soon with your student(s)!
The Scholastic Book Fair will be at Lincoln from Nov. 7th - Nov. 16th. Families will be able to walk through and make purchases during conference times.
Please support Lincoln's PTO by purchasing Papa Murphy coupon cards. They are $8/card, with a $3 profit for every card sold.
Students were recognized for showing our Lincoln Lion ROAR! During our PRIDE we discussed being responsible.
Between October 23 - November 10, 2023, our school will be administering the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) to students in second grade. This is a screening test that the Green Bay Area Public School District is administering to all students to give the school additional information on how best to serve your child. The CogAT provides a snapshot of your child’s abilities in the areas of verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal functioning. The nonverbal battery tests a student’s reasoning abilities and does not require the student to use information gained from other experiences to solve problems. The CogAT takes approximately 55 minutes and is administered on a computer.
Participation is voluntary. Please contact Principal Gloudemans if you do not wish to participate. We expect to receive the testing results in November 2023. At that time, a copy of your child’s results will be shared with you. You can find information from the publisher of this assessment at www.cogat.com.
Lincoln First Graders have been extremely busy: apple taste testing, using their senses, smelling onions & earning lunch with the teacher. Keep being AMAZING!
Lincoln wouldn’t be as shiny, clean and welcoming without our hardworking custodians! Thanks Steve & Tom! You are both very appreciated!
