Hello Lion Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing spring break and were able to do something together as a family. It is hard to believe that we only have 2 months left of this school year!
If you are interested in signing your student(s) up for summer school this year, please read below for more information about how to register. Summer school will be located at Fort Howard Elementary, and transportation from Lincoln will be available for those families that may need it. Reach out to the office if you need assistance getting signed up.
Finally, over the past weeks, we have received requests from the neighbors around the school building. Please do not block any of our neighbors' driveways when dropping off or picking up students. If one of the neighbors needs to get out of their house and asks you to move so they can get out, please help us out and politely move. We will also be putting up cones by the intersection of Caroline and Buchanan to help with some of the traffic flow concerns. Please see the diagram for reference and thank you for your help and attention to this matter.
Make it a great day!
Mr. Gloudemans

On March 1, 2024, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released new guidance for COVID-19. When staff and students get sick with a respiratory virus, the updated CDC guidance recommends that they stay home and away from others. For staff and students with COVID-19 and influenza, treatment is available and can lessen symptoms and lower the risk of severe illness. The recommendations suggest returning to normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, symptoms are improving overall, and if a fever was present, it has been gone without use of a fever-reducing medication.
Lincoln will begin taking the Wisconsin Forward Exam between March 18th and April 18th.
You can help your child by doing the following:
● Make sure your child gets a good night's sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.
● Remain positive. Staying calm will help your child stay calm. If your child gets nervous about the test or is likely to experience anxiety during the test, help them practice some relaxation techniques that they can try when taking the test.
● Please note that electronic devices are prohibited in the testing room: cell phones, smart watches, and other devices may not be accessible during testing or at testing breaks.
Read the full letter from Mr. Gloudemans regarding the exam here. Please reach out to the office or your child's teacher with questions or concerns.
