This is the beginning of the our second graded section.
The right side of the page is our states of matter sort. After investigating and observing different samples of matter, students assigned them to specific categories. the samples were:
- dish soap
- air
- sand
- pencil grip
- craft stick
- rubber band
- paper clip
- bubble wrap
- cloth or fabric
The left side is where students wrote their justifications for how they were able to determine what state of matter each object fell into. We discussed these needing to be detailed, complete sentences, and have a good use of content vocabulary.
