District Educational Improvement Council Forms Open 8/5 to 8-26
Open to parents and community members
The District Educational Improvement Council (DEIC) committee works to improve student learning in Garland ISD. This committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Superintendent and School Board. Additional responsibilities include:
reviewing student achievement data
approving the district's staff development calendar
hearing requests for campus/district waivers following state guidelines
hearing updates on programs and other items of educational interest

Aug. 23-30- CCA TESTING SCHEDULE (90 minute testing bell schedule)
Lunches at the same normal time. Students will CCA & iReady (reading/math/science & history) with their actual teacher on the day they have the test and that period.

Ms. Wilson and the City of Rowlett will be doing morning and afternoon arrival and dismissal observations on the roof this week. Please be advised that if you see Ms. Wilson or another gentleman on the roof during this week, we are working on trying to determine where a crosswalk, crossing light or other safety adjustments can be made for our students.
