We will do a dress code sweep at 2nd period when we do a head count
Transition to class
8:44am- 6th grade released to classes

We Use Positive Language Redirections

Cell Phones
Cell phones out of sight during the instructional day
Cell phones will be confiscated by Admin from the classroom
$15 for each time it is picked up by teacher or admin
Students may be searched as well.

District Educational Improvement Council Forms Open 8/5 to 8-26
Open to parents and community members
The District Educational Improvement Council (DEIC) committee works to improve student learning in Garland ISD. This committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Superintendent and School Board. Additional responsibilities include:
reviewing student achievement data
approving the district's staff development calendar
hearing requests for campus/district waivers following state guidelines
hearing updates on programs and other items of educational interest

Lunches at the same normal time. Students will MAP (reading/math/science & history) with their actual teacher on the day they have the test and that period.
