This year, we collaborated with the Gifted and Talented department for the district to create a training to support a 6-hour update certification for educators.
As part of this, we designed the training around how to integrate technology into PBL projects through G/T called TPSP (Texas Performance Standards Project). By building knowledge on technology best practices, eductors were better prepared to meet the needs of G/T learners.
As part of my status on the Digital Learning team as the lead Seesaw trainer, I designed on-going professional development for PK-2 educators that focused on creating Formative Assessment and self-grading activities.
Seesaw Formative Assessments in Practice mode provide students the opportunity to check their work and get immediate feedback.
This year, I designed on-going training to include how to support different learners within our Learning Management System for PK-2, Seesaw. My focus was to support educators in effectively creating Seesaw activities for little learners.
This year, we worked with K-2 educators all over the District to effectively set up 1:1 iPad devices within in classrooms to ensure that students would have a more clean environment to work from on their homescreen and Clever dashboards.
We also set up Keychain passwords for students, logging them in with their credentials.
This iniative then started a long-term conversation with the Technology Department to have this set up throughout the entire District's iPad devices.
