The Assessments of Academic Growth & Achievement section demonstrates that teachers are looking ahead to how students will demonstrate their learning before instruction begins. Assessments should align with learning targets.
An activity that proves worthwhile is taking time as a faculty to:
study and discuss how assessment can show what students have learned, understand, and can do at the completion of a unit
align learning targets with assessments
Working through the above "Start with Why" is the "How" or process to create the what, or list of assessments utilized at the different grade levels or grade bands.
In this section, consider including the following:
grade level (or grade band) standards from the state/national standards
connecting multiple learning targets with one assessment
listing a variety in assessments
showing a progression of the complexity of the assessments
introducing each domain with spiritual goals to demonstrate a desire to train students to be responsible, Christian citizens and contributors to this world as they are Christian witnesses in this world and also await their citizenship in God's kingdom
