To participate in sport climbing safely, some safety equipment needs to be used, and learners would also need to be dressed appropriately. How should you prepare yourself before attending one of our classes?
While the internet is choked full of wordy guides, reviews and intimidating lists of must-have equipment, our Phoenix Climbing Coaches have simplified all the information you need into three helpful lists below.
Attire:
PE attire (for weekday classes).
Comfortable sportswear (for weekend classes).
Regular-fitting top with bottoms that extend to or cover your knees.
Avoid wearing very loose or baggy clothing.
Covered shoes, sneakers or trainers with socks.
Shoes should be well-fitted. Avoid over-sized footwear.
Hygiene:
Personal face towel for cleaning up sweat.
Multifunctional headwear or head covering (e.g. scarf, handkerchief, thin towel).
This will be used to line the climbing helmets because they are shared equipment.
Personal:
Water bottle.
Snacks.
