Monday, April 13th Learning Tasks

Happy Monday! Welcome to week 2 of distance learning! This week we will continue to work through and complete the district provided packet. Please know that your family’s well-being is our number one priority and we encourage you to continue to do what's best for your family in terms of school work. We are here to support your family so please reach out if you need anything.

We'll have another Morning Meeting this morning at 9am! Please use this link for every meeting:

Tuesday, April 14th Learning Tasks

Good morning!

Morning Meeting today at 9am. Can't wait to see you! The topic is: "What is your very favorite food and why?"

Learning task for today: if you can, please make a video for me of you reading the "Lines of Practice" for today! That is the page in your packet that looks like this:

This week, we're reviewing "Long i" sounds. You can read any part of the page to me! The sounds at the top, the words in the second table, the sight words in the third table, or the whole sentences at the bottom! You pick! (We are on Day 7 in our packet today.)

When you submit your video, please use the Class Dojo app to film yourself! If your family takes a video with their camera app and then tries to upload that video, it may not work. I hope that makes sense! Please let me know if you have questions!

Learning task for today: since today is the last day in this packet, we're calling it "Finish It Friday!" Please choose any page from your packet (except for pages you've already sent in) and submit it to me on Class Dojo. This can be a new page you've just completed today or any extra work you did along the way. Just make sure it's your very best work. I can't wait to see it!

Other news: starting today, Friday, April 17th, at noon, your families can pick up our new packet (which covers the next two weeks of learning). If you don't want to rush over right at noon, please don't worry. Margaret plans to leave the tubs out all weekend long. You can go any time you wish!

Have a great weekend, first graders! I miss you!
