The goal of this second activity is to foster relationship skills between children and their parents. In this activity, children and parents will read about silly dinosaurs, practice counting skills, and create dinosaur footprints.

Hole punch for cardboard

Dinosaur Footprints
Gather required materials
Choose a footprint shape
Make copies as needed and cut stencil
Using stencil, trace shape unto cardboard
Cut desired number of "footprints"
Paint "footprints" desired color
Allow to dry
Once dry, punch holes on either side of foot and thread string/yarn through
Knot at top (child should be able to hold string on either side and "walk" with dinosaur feet

Gather book and desired percussive instrument(s)/object(s)
Book can be read with or without song
On each page, ask child to play instrument or object ten, nine, eight, etc. number of times to match corresponding number of dinosaurs on each page.
