Purpose
The goal of this first activity is to facilitate healthy emotional expression and relationship skills between children and their parents. This activity can be done individually or as a group.
Before beginning, parents should choose a theme with their children. The theme of shapes is provided as an example and cutouts can be found here.

Choose a theme with your child(ren) or use cutouts provided
Have child find items around the house that correspond to the chosen theme
Place items in an open container
Sing song w/ prompts to choose an item from the container
Create a drum beat, movement, or song that could match the chosen item
Have others in the group repeat creation
Repeat song until all items are used or each person in the group has had a turn
