This resource has been created for older adults
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, older adults in the Jacksonville, IL area have not been able to gather with their friends and family in their community. Gathering to eat meals and listen to music was a large part of their social lives. Through this activity I will be providing a resource to help older adults have access to recorded music that they can listen to independently or while they are with others
For this activity, I will be creating a YouTube channel with several playlists that contain the favorite music of the older adults in the Jacksonville, IL area. I will also be creating a step-by-step guide on how to access this playlist. My contacts at the Prairie Council on Aging will be providing their clients with the instructions on how to access the music.
