AP Computer Science Principles

AP Computer Science Principles is a full-year, rigorous, advanced-level course that introduces 8th grade students to the foundations of modern computing. The course covers a broad range of foundational topic such as programming, algorithms, the Internet, big data, digital privacy and security, and the societal impacts of computing. This course is recognized by the College Board. This endorsement affirms that all components of this course are aligned to the AP Curriculum Framework standards, the APCSP assessment, and the AP framework for professional development. Students will receive both High School and College credit if they successfully complete the AP Exam at the end of this course.
