Beginning BAND

Beginning Band is a mixed grade class of students that are new to playing a band instrument. The class is also for 6th graders who played their instrument in fourth and/or fifth grade. Students in Beginning Band learn the fundamentals of playing an instrument, fundamentals of playing in an ensemble, and performance techniques. Beginning Band students perform in three concerts per year, two festivals, and at the end of the year are prepared to participate in Intermediate Band or Advanced Band.
