Greetings TOMS 8th-Grade Parents/Guardians,

It’s the time of year when we begin sharing information with you regarding the exciting transition to high school!  We have created a presentation for both students and parents/guardians to watch that we hope will help answer many questions that you have as well as provide a basis for further discussion (link below titled 8th Grade Pre-IGP Presentation 'The Transition to High School & Beyond).  This presentation is lengthy, but our goal is to equip you and your student with as much information as possible to navigate the transition to high school and beyond. Students will have the opportunity to watch the presentation in school during Advisory/1st Academic prior to Thanksgiving Break,  but they may benefit from watching it again with a parent/guardian.  Any link that is referenced in the presentation is available in the PowerPoint below as well as on our department website.
