Friday, August 22nd - All schedule change requests must be submitted no later than the 5th day of school.

Week of August 25th - 29th - An email will be sent to all parents/guardians from Ms. LaPier with a link to sign up 

their 8th grade student to take the PSAT/NMSQT on October 15th at TOMS

Week of August 25th - September 5th - School Counseling Team visits 6th Grade Advisory Classes

September

Monday, September 1st - No School - Labor Day

Tuesday, September 2nd & Wednesday, September 3rd - Mrs. Beale visit students taking high school credit courses.  A letter will be sent home to parents/guardians about taking high school credit courses in middle school and should be returned to the front office. 

Tuesday, September 9th @ 4:30pm (upstairs orange collaboration space) - Mrs. Beale @ staff will be presenting 'The Middle School Accelerated Program of Study' to parents/guardians.

Friday, September 12th - Deadline for CogAT (Cognitive Ability Test) Referral

Week of September 8th - 19th - School Counseling Team visits 7th Grade Advisory Classes 

Monday, September 15th - Deadline for students to sign up to take the PSAT/NMSQT at TOMS on October 15th

Wednesday, September 17th - End Date for Quarter 1 Interim Report

October - 6th Grade 'Goal Setting' Presentation shown to students in Advisory

Tuesday, October 6th - CogAT Testing begins!

Monday, October 13th - No School - Columbus Day

Tuesday, October 14th - No School Students - Teacher Workday

Wednesday, October 15th - PSAT/NMSQT for students who signed up by deadline

Monday, October 20th - 6th Grade 'Goal Setting' Presentation emailed to parents/guardians with info about scheduling a Goal Setting meeting with caseload counselor

Wednesday, October 22nd - End of Quarter 1 (45 Days)

TBD - PSAT Score Reports distributed to students.   An email was sent to parents/guardians (as well as students) with information on how to understand the score report and how to create a College Board account.

December

Tuesday, December 2nd - (2:35pm) Early College High School (ECHS) and (1:45pm) Scholars Academy (SA) will be visiting to talk to eligible students about their programs

Tuesday, December 9th - Scholars Academy High School Open House

Week of December 15th - 19th - Students will watch the presentation '9th Grade Scheduling' during Advisory

Friday, December 19th - Caseload Counselors will send an email to contact #1 and #2 of 8th grade students containing a presentation called '9th Grade Scheduling' and link to the 9th-grade course selection google form.  Students and parent(s)/guardian(s) should work together to select courses. Deadline:  Friday, January 23rd

Monday, December 22nd - Friday, January 2nd - No School - Holiday Break
