The Myrtle Beach High DECA Club Scholarship DUE MAY 1, 2026

Joye Law Firm Scholarship DEADLINE: May 1, 2026
Our firm will offer six $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in South Carolina who plan to attend a four-year institution of higher learning in the fall. Over the last 10 years, Waterway Art Association (DUE May 1, 2026) of Calabash has offered and awarded an annual $1,000-dollar visual arts scholarship to assist graduating senior high school students who enroll at a college or university and have been accepted into a fine arts course as either a major or minor. Applications will be accepted from any 2026 graduating high school senior attending a school in either Brunswick or Horry Counties who has been accepted as an entering full-time student to a college, university or community college in 2026. The student must have fine arts experience in school and/or in the community. Applications must be received no later than May 1st, 2026

The family and friends of Buddy Rogers have established a scholarship to honor students, who, like Coach Rogers, exhibit characteristics that separate them from the crowd, celebrating the individual who is unafraid to set high goals and work diligently to stay on track to meet those expectations. It will be a student that has a kind spirit, cares for others, and loves life and people.
St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church A.H.E.P.A Scholarship DUE May 1
Since its establishment, AHEPA, the largest and oldest Greek American Organization in the U.S., has consistently dedicated itself to advancing education for the next generation. Through our financial support in the form of scholarships, we aim to alleviate the significant burden faced by today’s students. The cost of education should not act as a barrier but rather mirror a student’s aspiration to achieve scholastic enrichment in their young lives .
Award Amount $750
The members of the MBHS Booster Club work tirelessly throughout the year to raise funds that are used to promote, expand, and provide financial support to the varsity student athletes at Myrtle Beach High School. J. Rodman Rourk was an influential member of the Myrtle Beach community and was instrumental in the creation and development of the MBHS Booster Club in the 1970s. We are pleased to continue his legacy by awarding The J. Rodman Rourk Scholarship to one (or more) graduating seniors who have shown exemplary dedication to Seahawk athletics by earning a minimum of one a varsity letter during his or her high school years.

The Carolyn Swanson Seahawk Scholarship will be offered once a year over the next 12 years (ending in 2035). The scholarship will be in the amount of $1,000.00 given to one MBHS Senior. Mrs. Carolyn Swanson was a staunch advocate for Myrtle Beach High School Athletics, raising well over two million dollars during her time as the marketing director for the MBHS All Sports Booster Club.

DOUG SHAW FOUNDATION MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP • DUE MAY 1, 2025
Doug Shaw believed in young people and what they could accomplish through commitment and determination. He strived to teach this through the example he set on the practice/playing field, in his community. His love for family, friends and Myrtle Beach High School will long be remembered. It is hoped that the recipient of this scholarship exhibits those qualities that made Doug Shaw a respected individual.
The award will include:
1. a one-time $1,000.00 scholarship to be paid to the recipients.
2. Certificate to acknowledge the receipt of scholarship. The recipients must be graduating senior athletes (any race or gender) who intends to further his/her education and meets the qualifications for entry to an institution of higher learning, and who exhibits the true Seahawk Spirit and Pride shown through leadership, character, and participation in athletic and academic endeavors!
Applications are due in the guidance office, Coach Wilson or Coach Christy or may be mailed to PO Box 7506, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 and MUST be received no later than May 1, 2025.

The Dr. Jen Orthodontics Scholarship is awarded in the amount of $1,000. The applicant must be a past or present patient of Dr. Jen Orthodontics. Adults continuing their education in an accredited college program will also be considered. All applicants will be considered regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or disability or sexual orientation. Applications are available at Dr. Jen Orthodontics, 702 Country Club Drive, Conway, SC 29526. Applications are due by Monday, May 4, 2026. Winner will be announced June 1, 2026.
The CSM Gary Coates, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Part of the mission of the Alaina Coates FAAM Foundation is to invest our time and resources to uplift and support communities. One of the ways in which we accomplish this objective is through our annual scholarship programs. The Foundation offers two categories of awards: The CSM Gary Coates, Sr. Memorial Scholarship and Enrichment Awards. The CSM Gary Coates, Sr. Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to high school seniors. DUE MAY 5, 2026. The Enrichment Awards are presented annually to rising 9th - 12th grade high school students in the areas of Academics, Athletics/Sports & Fitness and Performing Arts. Joe Lauer Creative Writing Scholarship (DUE 5-15-26) opportunity being offered to a senior student preparing to gradate and attend a post-secondary institution. This could be an amazing opportunity for an HCS student who loves to write. After reviewing the submission criteria, please share this opportunity with all senior students. All NIAAA members working in a school setting will have access to nominate eligible student athletes from their school.
