Elks National Foundation National Scholarship Program DUE February 2, 2026. Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships available to children and grandchildren of Elks members. Eligibility requirements are outlined below.

Who is Eligible?
For the 2026 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the Order on or before April 1, 2023, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2023, is eligible to apply. The Elk must have paid Lodge dues for the last two contiguous years through March 31, 2026. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
The applicant must be a high school senior.
The applicant must apply online only. The 2026 Legacy Awards application deadline is February 2, 2026, 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time. NOTE: This is NOON, mid-day, Pacific time.
If the applicant's parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must select the parent's Elks Lodge on the application.
We have waived the standardized test requirement for the 2026 Legacy contest. You do not need to submit ACT and/or SAT scores.
Students may apply for more than one ENF scholarship; however, they may win only one. In cases where the student wins more than one, we will award the scholarship with the greater value. Students can accept local and state scholarships, which are separate from the awards at the national level.
Legacy Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges or universities. (Note: Applicants from Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines may apply Legacy Awards toward schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)
If you are selected as a 2026 Legacy Awards recipient, to further strengthen your connection to the #ElksFamily, you must complete an act of service with a Lodge at least three times during your collegiate career. Click here for more information about serving with the Elks.

Each recipient will volunteer at one (1) SWA Public Education event and attend a board meeting to be awarded a $1,000 check and a SWA scholarship medallion at their Senior Awards Night Program.
Eligibility Requirements
All applicants must:
Be a graduating high school senior, attending a public school in Horry County.
Resident of Horry County (for at least one year).
Pursuing a degree related to the environment, public education, waste management or health promotions field.
The Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities Scholarship
The Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities Scholarship offers an annual journalism contest, the winner of which receives a 4-year scholarship to the South Carolina state-supported institution of his or her choice provided that the winner is otherwise qualified. The contest is open to high school seniors, or those otherwise qualified to begin post-secondary education no later than the 2025-2026 school year. Applicants do NOT have to have a disability to enter. Entries must be postmarked no later than February 7, 2025.

The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) awards 30 college scholarships ($2,000 each) every year to students in the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association’s (NTCA) service area. As your local telecommunications service provider, it is HTC’s pleasure to offer this national scholarship program once again to the students in your school. Should a student from the HTC service area be selected to receive a scholarship, we will contribute an additional $500 to the scholarship, bringing the total one-time award to $2,500.
The FRS Scholarship Application is now available online. Students can visit this website to learn more and submit an application. Under the NTCA Sponsor section of the application, the applicant should search for Horry Telephone Cooperative, Inc. – Conway, SC.

The Watson-Brown Foundation scholarships are awarded to students from communities in and near the Savannah River valley where Brown was raised and spent the majority of his adult life. The primary mission of the Watson-Brown Foundation is providing need and merit-based scholarships to select Georgia and South Carolina students attending accredited four-year colleges and universities in the United States.

Advocates for African Americans Carolinas Scholarship Fund is supported by Advocates for African-Americans, a Duke Energy employee resource group in Charlotte. It was founded by Duke Energy employees in 1996 to attract, nurture, develop and promote a diverse workforce. Advocates for African Americans Carolinas Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to college-bound students from North and South Carolina who are pursuing a major in engineering, math, science, computer science, accounting, finance or business administration. Scholarships are awarded annually to two accredited colleges or universities and one community service organization. The college, university or community service organization selects the scholar using criteria that focuses on grade point average, residence, leadership skills and financial need.

The UCB Myasthenia Gravis Scholarship
This program aims to help individuals living with myasthenia gravis (MG) and their immediate family members pursue further education. Potential applicants may obtain program information and apply online by creating an account at www.ucbmgscholarship.com.
UCB is committed to helping people impacted by neurological diseases achieve their academic goals. Since 2005, UCB has awarded over $3 million to more than 600 students through the UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship Program™. We continue to build our legacy by providing scholarships to those from families impacted by MG. In 2025, we will be awarding 15 one-time scholarships of up to $10,000 each to people living with MG or their immediate family members to continue their education or explore a new career
The PC Promise Scholarship DUE February 15, 2026
The PC Promise is a partnership between Presbyterian College (PC) and First Presbyterian Church of Church (FPC) that provides students up to $30,000 of tuition costs for students to attend PC.

The Shirley W. Boone Scholarship is a one-time $5,000 scholarship awarded to a high school senior intending to attend a degree program in any subject at any college, university, or trade school. Sponsored by the Friends of the Chapin Memorial Library. Award announced: April 1, 2025. Deadline: 2-28-25. Students must turn in their completed application packet at the main lobby service desk, in person, by 5:00 pm on Friday, February 28, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.
