Food chains are simple lines to connect what organisms consume other organisms in an ecosystem.
Food chains will go in one singular line.
All food chains will START with a PRODUCER (plant).
The arrows on a food chain point TOWARD the animal that is eating.

Food Webs
Food webs are more complex food chains or several food chains intertwined together.
They still show the flow of energy from one organism to the next by showing which organisms feed on others in that same ecosystem.
All food webs will START with a PRODUCER (plant).
Again, the arrow points to the animal that is doing the eating.
