Student Best Practices
Student Best Practices
MAP is different from any other assessments they take. MAP is designed so that all students will get roughly half of the questions correct and half of the questions incorrect. If students are getting to material they do not understand, that typically means they are doing great!
If students get to something they do not understand, they should try their best, but do not spend a lot of additional time on it. It is OK to move on.Â
But the system will also know if any student is guessing too quickly, so remind them to try their best as they move through the assessment. Feel free to use the MAP Growth: Rapid guessing, explained! video with students or go through our MAP Growth with Students slides.
