CHARGENorth students toured the Water Tower, a global water innovation center located in Buford, Georgia. They learned about the water industry and the improvements that can be made through research breakthroughs and technological advancements.
The 2022-23 freshman and sophomores toured the Mercedes-Benz stadium and learn about their sustainable practices such as their heavy use of solar panels and producing fresh and organic produce.
The 2023-24 sophomores took a tour of a farm near Ponce City Market and learned about what they plant and how they sustain the farm land every year. They also went to the Beltline, and in groups of 3, they interviewed people taking a stroll on the Beltline. Afterwards, they got a meal in one of the many restaurants in Ponce City Market.
The 2024-25 juniors toured UGA's School of Engineering, and they got to see the workspaces and labs that UGA engineering students get to use. After touring the school of engineering, they had lunch in a UGA dining hall.
The 2023-24 juniors toured the Georgia Tech campus and got to see the labs where the students work on a daily basis. The 2024-25 sophomores also toured the Kendeda building and learned sustainable practices.
