Made in Procreate
Digital imaging
My AP Art journey is finished at last (well, more like 90 percent done, honestly). Most of my time during this deadline was spent putting together my portfolio by creating additional planning pieces and doing some research for my final work.
I drove out to the Labadie Power Plant in Labadie, Missouri, to take photos for this final piece. I knew the piece would be hastily done, so I wanted to at least put in some effort by gathering my own references. I may or may not have accidentally run into a SWAT practice in the fields while trying to take photos, or possibly trespassed on private property? Regardless, I like how the final piece turned out. I was inspired by Andy Warhol and wanted to combine the imagery of dying flowers and the loss of biodiversity with pollution in the background to match my Sustained Investigation question about the advances of society and their negative consequences.
I'll definitely make a collage of more images I took for this piece, along with my reasoning behind it, but I am very nervous about AP tests, ahhhh š„²
