I am from the small town of Neodesha, Ks where I grew up with my parents and two little brothers. I went to a community college in Parsons, Ks and transferred to Emporia State University and joined the Elementary Education Program. I would love to teach 1st grade. I love to go hiking, kayaking, and anything outdoors with friends or family. I have also recently started a new hobby of embroidery which is a new artistic expression and has helped me to reduce stress and gain focus on my life. I would love to use art in the classroom to help my students learn how to show emotions and prove how great they are to themselves. I love using movement in the classroom as a tool for engagement and fluidity in classroom management. Including Social Emotional Learning is also a key tool that i use in my daily classroom management.
