The Institutional Effectiveness Website
Directions
The Institutional Effectiveness website includes five main topic areas including accreditation, assessment, institutional research, outcomes, and survey policy. Follow the activity steps and take screen shots of the locations as directed. Email the screen shots to the instructor JoLanna Kord at jkord@emporia.edu. This activity is worth 10 points.
Activity
Navigate to the Main Topic Areas of the Institutional Effectiveness Website
Step 1
For this activity, open a new browser window and type in the Uniform Resource Locator www.emporia.edu and press enter. This will take you to the Emporia State University website landing page. In the upper right hand corner of the page there is a search box icon. Click on the icon and when the search box opens, type in "Institutional Effectiveness" and press enter. Then, select the search results entry for the office of institutional effectiveness.
STEP 2
On the left side navigation bar, select Accreditation from the list of linked options. This selection takes you to the accreditation landing page.
STEP 3
On the Accreditation landing page, locate the left side navigation bar and select one of the linked topics from the list. When the page you selected opens, take a snapshot and save the file on your device.
STEP 4
Navigate back to the office of institutional effectiveness landing page by clicking on the linked Office of Institutional Effectiveness text at the top of the page.
STEP 5
Once back on the landing page, from the left hand navigation bar select Assessment from the list of linked options. This selection takes you to the Assessment landing page.
STEP 6
On the Assessment landing page, locate the left side navigation bar and select one of the linked topics from the list. When the page you selected opens, take a snapshot and save the file on your device.
STEP 7
Navigate back to the office of institutional effectiveness landing page by clicking on the linked Office of Institutional Effectiveness text at the top of the page.
STEP 8
Once back on the landing page, from the left hand navigation bar select Institutional Research from the list of linked options. This selection takes you to the institutional research landing page.
STEP 9
On the Institutional Research landing page, locate the left side navigation bar and select one of the linked topics from the list. When the page you selected opens, take a snapshot and save the file on your device.
STEP 10
To complete this activity, send the three individual web page snapshots to instructor JoLanna Kord at jkord@emporia.edu as email attachments. The 10 points will be awarded when the email is viewed by the instructor.
