INTRODUCTION

Mobile Learning is the Big Tech Thing!

Using mobile learning modalities to enhance teaching and learning is the reality for 21st century education. Let's explore the use of mobile technologies for student learning assessment and accreditation activities.

Module Objectives

In module 4, the primary objective is using mobile technology to access and use assessment resources available to ESU faculty members. The secondary objectives include learning how to access the Assessment Resources SharePoint site in the Hornet365 portal, reporting assessments using the course level student learning outcomes assessment reporting tool, and using the Institutional Effectiveness website to be informed on accreditation, assessment and institutional research topics.

Module Outcomes

Upon completion of this module, faculty will be able to:

  • access the Assessment Resources SharePoint site in the Hornet365 portal

  • learn about the process for preparing to enter results in the Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Reporting Tool and navigate through the survey to become familiar with the design and where to enter assessment results

  • access the Institutional Effectiveness website and use screenshots to capture web pages dedicated to accreditation and assessment

Module 4 Learning Activities (40 points)

Module 4 consists of three activities designed to engage learning through mobile learning modalities and covers assessment, outcomes, and accreditation topics.

Activity 1: Using Mobile Technology Activity worth 10 points.

Activity 2: Assessing Student Learning Activity worth 20 points.

Activity 3: Assessment and Accreditation Activity worth 10 points.
