Orientation Training Goals

  • We want to ensure you are knowing of our institutional culture of assessment dedicated to student learning and success.

  • We continuously strive to improve the student learning experience and assessment is a tool we use to inform our strategies.

  • This orientation is designed to be self-paced and available on demand to meet your schedule.

  • We do suggest that you complete the modules in chronological order.

Orientation Evaluation Guidelines​

Recognition for Completing the Orientation

  • By completing all 5 modules, you will be recognized with an Official Letter of Completion and Certificate by the Assistant Provost.

  • Each Module is worth 40 Points for a total of up to 200 points awarded for completing the orientation.

  • Each module has activities with assigned point values. Activities are evaluated using a variety of assignments and practical application tasks.

Module Topics

Module 1

Learn about institutional policy, practices, and assessment activities. All of our assessment practices are guided through shared governance policy.

Module 2

Explore the topics of Mission, Vision, Values, and Culture to connect the Institution, Program Goals, and Learning Outcomes.

Module 3

Engage in a collaborative assessment activity and share strategies with peers using resources and technologies for collaborations and team learning.

Module 4

Explore the vast array of online Educational resources supporting the assessment of teaching and learning activities.

Module 5

Explore the topics of Student Learning Outcomes, Learning Domains, and Hierarchies of Learning using a virtual classroom collaboration tool.
