Navigating to Electronic Documents used as References

Directions: The location of the electronic documents used to reference your assessment practices are located in the university portal and linked on the Emporia State University website. In the activities sections, you will be engaging in a scavenger hunt to locate key webpages and documents which will serve as reference in your assessment practices. Follow the directives for the activity in this section. (10 Points)

Institutional Effectiveness Website - Resources for Assessment

1. For this activity, open a new browser window and type in the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) and press enter.
2. From the Emporia State University website homepage, click on the search icon located in the top right side of the page. In the search box, type in Institutional Effectiveness and press enter.
3. From the search engine list click the link as shown:

• From the left side navigation pane, click on the Assessment category.
• On the Assessment webpage, click on Student Learning Outcomes from the left side navigation pane.
• Scroll down the Student Learning Outcomes page until you see the area where all programs are listed and linked under their respective college/school and department. This section begins with Liberal Arts & Sciences. The other colleges/schools and departments are listed chronologically in alphabetical order.
• From this area, you can select the major program your course is affiliated with.
• Select a program link and a .pdf document opens with the Program Learning Objectives listed. These Program Learning Outcomes are what use to state how your course aligns with the program. ​
