WiFi services in UTokyo (Division for Information and Communication Systems, the UTokyo)
(1) Usage of Wireless LAN at the UTokyo for UTokyo members (UTokyo Wi-Fi)
UTokyo Wi-Fi is a campus wireless network service for university members. To use UTokyo Wi-Fi, it is necessary to issue "UTokyo Wi-Fi Account".
UTokyo Wi-Fi is available in most areas of Faculty of Economics.

(2) Usage of Wireless LAN at other universities and other research institutions for UTokyo members (eduroam)
UTokyo members can use eduroam Wireless LAN with "UTokyo Wi-Fi Account" in the service areas at off-campus organizations (universities / research institutions etc.) participating in eduroam.

(3) Usage of Wireless LAN at the UTokyo for guests from outside the UTokyo (Wireless LAN for guests)
(3.1) UTokyo-Guest
UTokyo-Guest Wireless LAN is available in most areas of the UTokyo. At Faculty of Economics, UTokyo-Guest is also available in areas where UTokyo Wi-Fi is available.
Guests can issue their UTokyo-Guest account using their own mobile phone. Both a domestic mobile phone and an international mobile phone are available.
After connecting the guest's device to UTokyo-Guest (SSID : "UTokyo-Guest") and starting WWW browser, the authentication page is opened. Guests can get their UTokyo-Guest account using their mobile phone in accordance with the directions on the authentication page.

* However, for international mobile phones, a Global Roaming contract is required. The Service may not be available depending on the specific contract type (prepaid contract, etc.) and the mobile provider. The Service is not available for mobile devices that do not support W-CDMA.

(3.2) eduroam
Eduroam is available in most areas of the UTokyo. At Faculty of Economics, eduroam is also available in areas where UTokyo Wi-Fi is available.
Guests who issued eduroam account at their organization (university / research institution etc.) participating in eduroam can use eduroam Wireless LAN in the service areas at the UTokyo.
(3.3) eduroam guest account
Using UTokyo Account, faculty and staff can issue "eduroam guest account" for guests.
