How to use STATA/MP

On terminal (interactively)

If you type "stata-mp", STATA/MP starts.

X-Window environment

If you type "xstata-mp" in an environment where X Window system is available, STATA/MP starts with GUI.

Batch processing

Please prepare do-file in advance and enter as follows.

stata-mp -s do FILENAME

or

stata-mp -b do FILENAME

The output format differs depending on whether -s or -b is specified. SMCL format (-s) or text format (-b) can be selected.

The maximum parallel number of STATA/MP currently installed is 16.
