I live in the north Dallas area with my dogs Pete and Annie. I love teaching music to my students but I also have a variety of other interests. My main passions outside of music are running and soccer. I have regularly played in soccer leagues around North Texas, both indoor and outdoor. I have been a volunteer coach for the Crownover GOAL team for 3 years. I enjoy running and have run 5 marathons. My favorite races so far have been the Big Sur Marathon in California and the Chicago Marathon. In my remaining spare time, I enjoy working on my house and landscaping.
Most of my friends are musicians and many of the activities we do together involve music. I attend as many concerts as I can throughout the year. I enjoy attending local performances of the Dallas Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, Dallas Opera, Dallas Summer Musicals, Dallas Bach Society, and many other area ensembles. Often on weekends I perform professionally at weddings, churches, musicals, and other events.
I enjoy traveling whenever I can. My favorite trips so far have been to Mexico City, the Czech Republic, Costa Rica and Hawaii. In past summers, I've enjoyed road trips to the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and more.
