What is RISE?

RISE is a grow-your-own teacher program for strong paraprofessionals who want to earn their bachelor's degree, at no cost to the paraprofessional, and become certified teachers while continuing to work in Comal ISD. The RISE Program is a partnership between Comal ISD, Teachworthy, and Indiana Wesleyan University designed to support paraprofessionals in an accelerated pathway to leading their own classroom with the support of the Comal Professional Learning team.

RISE candidates must be employed by Comal ISD as a paraprofressional at the start of the school year to be recommended by their campus principal for participation in this amazing opportunity.
