Professional Learning
Administrators should ensure all teachers meet the minimum of 30 exchange hours of professional learning (PL). These PL exchange hours are in ‘exchange’ for 5 Staff Holidays built into the Academic Calendar. Please see the timeline below for a detailed description of each task including: tracking hours, approving out of district events, and creating a personalized professional learning plan aligned to teachers’ TTESS goals.

Planning Campus Events
All PD that occurs in Comal ISD needs to be entered into KickUP. Each Campus must offer a minimum of 3 hours of Exchange Day Credit to their teachers as ongoing campus learning. Exchange Day Credit can only be given when the learning takes place outside of the normal contract time. Professional Development on your campus should align with you Campus Improvement Plan.
