When you click on the text, notice that you have some text control options. Click on any of the options to turn it on, and click it again to turn it off.
Click on a (+) button and select Photo.
A sidebar will open on the right. You can either upload your own photos or use Adobe's search features.
Use the Upload photo button to find photos that you have already saved onto your computer. Use Google to find images that will fit your project.
Use "Find free photos" and "Adobe Stock" to search for properly licensed photos. These searches are not great for specifics (ex: Clemson's Cooper Library) but are good for general stock images (ex: library).
Once the image is in the page, click on the image to adjust how it looks. Inline is standard photo view. Fill Screen and Window will crop the image but fill the screen. Full width is the largest possible view.
If you want to show multiple images in a grid, select a (+) button and select "Photo grid". You'll have the same options to upload your own photos or use the Adobe search functions.
Click on a (+) button and select video.
The video must be linked from YouTube, Vimeo, or Spark Video. You can't upload directly from your computer.
Click on a (+) button and select glideshow. A glideshow lets you select multiple images, which become the background for text boxes. When you scroll through the page, Express animates the transition between the images and the text. A glideshow makes for a dynamic and interesting Express page.
2. Select your images for your glideshow.
3. Each transparent box on top of the image can hold text or another image. Add your text. Drag and drop the text box to the left, center, or right alignment on the image.
Click on a (+) button and select split layout. A split layout has an image on one half of the screen and text on the other half. This is a good way of dividing up your page to be more dynamic.
To change the visuals of the page, click on Themes in the top right corner. Express limits your options so you can only choose between a handful of themes.
Choose a theme that fits the intended tone of your page. Click the theme to select it, click another theme to change it.
The Preview button at the top of the page lets you see how everything looks to your audience.
Want to work on your page with someone else? Click the gray button with the person icon to invite others to edit the page. This is not how you should submit your page to be graded. Two people cannot work on the project at the same time.
When you're ready to submit your project, click on the "Share" button at the top of the page.
Then click on Publish and share link.
Then click on Create Link.
Copy the shareable link and submit that link to be graded.
You can still make changes to your web page after publishing. Just make sure to click on Share, and then update your link so that others can see the changes.
