Every Clemson University student with a Cadence account is automatically enrolled in the Cadence Academic Network, giving them access to Cadence's proprietary learning materials. These range from introductory software training to advanced academic curricula, all of which are regularly utilized by industry-level engineers and researchers. In order to navigate the 5000+ training courses and videos offered by the program, Cadence has supplied a series of learning paths to navigate their training courses.
For general use, we recommend starting with "OrCAD X Capture", followed by "Allegro X PCB Editor Basic Techniques". The "Semiconductor 101" course is also a great starting point for those wishing to learn more about the semiconductor industry as a whole.
Cadence also offers training courses in software intended for more specialized purposes. Please see Resources for more information on the Academic Network's software specifications. These are industry-grade training materials, so we encourage all interested students to take full advantage of the opportunity.Â
