As good members, it is expected of us to act morally upright and responsibly. It inspires people to make use of their knowledge, abilities, and comprehension in order for us to safeguard and advance human rights on the internet. Human rights, such as freedom, privacy, and security, are crucial to uphold online if we want to be protected. People learn more about online safety and can prevent attacks by doing this. People can now stay in touch with others even if they are far away thanks to a variety of digital channels. Being a part of the community also enables us to be conscious of our own and other people's needs. As for the teachers, they become the guide, mentor, counselors and role model of the students to practice being a global citizen with respect and critical thinking.
I learned that we should focus on digital citizenship and how Internet users should manage online relationships, provide personal protection from online attacks (phishing, spam, malware) and show accountability in sharing viw points and opinions for us to be a good digital citizen.
Technology has the ability to significantly alter the global economy. It can be used for education, e-learning, entertainment, and games. In order to be secure online, users must follow the norms of netiquette. An online communication dos and don'ts guide is called netiquette. We are all aware that, in addition to the positive effects of technology, there is always a negative aspect that serves as a warning against overusing it. We must practice having constructive digital connections with others as responsible netizens.
As a responsible internet user, I abide by some safety advice, such as being cautcautiouscautcautiousiousious about what I post online, keeping my password and other personal information to myself, protecting my private information, avoiding installing and updating software to avoid conflicts, and refraining from downloading from dubious sources. Technology is useful yet dangerous; it has many benefits and drawbacks that could have an impact on both our life and those of others.
We all have intellectual property (IP) that needs to be protected by others. It's our property when it comes to works, journals, pictures, arts, etc. Anything that isn't your property needs permission to use or be a reference. The Internet is useful in spreading information and works. Here, you can post your works to help other people motivate or have ideas about their assignment, projects or anything related to the topic but you can't use other people's works and claim that you made it. Let's show a responsible netizen when using other people's work. In this situation, there's some rules and punishment consequences for theft. One of these is that copyright infringement refers to using the works without permission from the owner, we need to use some tips: understanding, be responsible, be creative and lastly know the law to avoid copying other works. Next is plagiarism which refers to taking someone's work and claiming the works on their own. It's better to use credit rather than owning others' work. We can get an idea and information from their works but claiming the credits is too much.
Technology is truly helpful in giving the fastest information and ideas but in the back of it is the people's bad intention of using it. Yes it's easy to copy others' works but the consequences of it are heavy. Instead of copying, why don't you try to make it more complex and use the idea but don't forget to cite their works as your reference. I've learned a lot from this lesson, especially the possible things that happen in a wrong way.
