The session discusses the many ideas and guidelines for using technology to drive learning. One of the models I utilize the most is Dale's cone of experience because it emphasizes that students learn best when they can relate to what they are learning through experience. This method of learning is known as "learning by doing" and is most effective for students who can relate to what they are learning easily. When we conduct the experiment ourselves as scientific students, learning is more effective than when we observe others. According to Brunner's Three-Tiered Model of Learning, when it comes to the teaching-learning process, the instructor should assist learning by creating lessons that provide students the knowledge they need without organizing it for them. It's important also that the teachers must know or present the knowledge in appropriate stages for the students' needs.
I came to understand how important the teacher is to the needs and education of the pupils. Both learning and everything else must be settled. The finest teacher is experience, which is why teachers let us encounter a variety of things so that we can learn by doing.
Since teaching is such a challenging profession, it is necessary for teachers to plan lessons for their students. It's wonderful that there are many ways and techniques used to support learning integration while also involving kids in technology use. It takes a lot of work and a drawn-out process to create a lesson for the pupils that accomplishes only one thing. They put a lot of effort into the lesson—not because they do it quickly or without effort, but because they want to make sure the learner's goal is met and every instruction has been followed—starting with the objectives using Bloom Taxonomy and enabling the learning with SAMR and TPACK. It's not only for the learning of the students that developed but also the relationship of the students and teachers. Just like technology, we can also be smarter in integrating learning to the students in order to create an effective basis of teaching and learning.
I came to the realization that I could use this information to quickly connect with my kids when I eventually become a teacher. I think that through connecting people, learning can be offered simply, and incorporating technology will make it even simpler. Since I am still a student, I am doing everything in my power to make sure that every practice lesson for teaching is worthwhile. I am aware of the significant responsibility I bear, but I believe that education is more crucial in establishing the future of the country.
The ASSURE model is one of the best when it comes to ensuring that students learn appropriately while integrating technology into the teaching and learning process. It also helps teachers improve their teaching by helping them create lesson plans and instructional materials. ASSURE indicates that the teacher must first profile the class to determine each student's unique skills, learning preferences, and academic standing. Students in this diverse classroom are different from one another because of this. Second, when it comes to the needs to be met objectives or goals. Learning outcomes are crucial because they serve as a gauge for the teacher's entire body of work in the classroom. After the target has been completed, we must choose the best techniques, methods, and media that fit the goal and lesson. Making certain that this media is available and simple to incorporate will enable the students to effortlessly engage in any activity or class. Most importantly, once the teacher uses technology to instruct the students, there is always a means to assess the students' understanding using paper-and-pencil assessments, such as summative, formative, or quizzes. The ASSURE Model refers to a teaching approach that incorporates technology to enhance teaching and learning.
In fact, I was intrigued in the ASSURE concept since it gives me ideas for when I someday become a teacher. In my opinion, this model is crucial to teachers' life since it provides a solid starting point for teaching, especially for new teachers. However, I plan to use this paradigm to enhance my teaching when I eventually become a teacher.
Technology must be used in the classroom to engage the students and create a lively, engaging environment. Technology aids in the teaching and learning process by enabling teachers to instruct pupils more effectively. Nowadays, with technology being so pervasive, students are increasingly technologically savvy. On their own learnings, they can be creators, communicators, editors, and collaborators. The kids also have an understanding of how they use the various tools, such as blogs and padlets, when the teachers incorporate technology into the classroom. Additionally, when teachers include technology, children are more engaged, have fun, and learn more effectively.
Actually, I also like it when a lesson incorporates technology, especially if it relates to the subject. Some of it comes from simulations that are employed in the main subject so that we may investigate what occurs in accordance with the subject. When creating educational materials, I also like to use Canva because it offers a simple way to create a PowerPoint for the class.
