Students in the Leadership Elective in 7th and/or 8th grade have the best chances of becoming an ASB Officer in 8th grade or in the ASB Student Government. ASB President and VP must take the Leadership elective for at least one year. (see Hopkins Middle School course description regarding ASB officers and Leadership Elective). Students who wish to run for Class Officer should have Leadership Experience and have served as a 5th-period ASB Representative in 6th and/ or 7th grade (Student Government). However, there will be exceptions for students who demonstrate outstanding efforts as an ASB Rep. The ASB Rep committee leads and Leadership Commissioners also earn additional points towards officer candidacy application. The candidate process will begin in late April as a point system. Information in the morning Video Bulletin, and via your 5th -period ASB reps.
