In addition to the officers' mandatory weekly Thursday meeting during FLEX with staff advisor, Madame Chabot, our entire student council (officers + 5th-period reps) will meet the 3rd Thursday of the month (usually the 3rd Thursday) during FLEX. The agenda will be posted in the ASB Google Classroom the day before the meeting.
The meeting allows 5th-period reps to bring suggestions from their 5th-period classes to the entire council. We also vote on agenda items, which include how to spend our funds. Every class must be represented at these meetings. If you (reps) don't communicate the meeting information to your 5th period, the student government model collapses.
5th-period representative selection takes place in mid-September, followed by our first general meeting. Representatives must have a dedicated ASB notebook, bring their ASB membership ID card, and their ASB lanyards. They are also expected to wear Hopkins spirit wear and/or Hopkins colors on meeting days. ASB's code of ethics /contract must be followed.
