On Thursday 11th November, around 80 students from 3º ESO walked up to San Ginés in Andújar's Natural Park. On the way back to our town they cleaned the path. Throughout the walk back they came across plenty of trash (plastic and bottles). Pictures and different posts were published that day to raise awareness about the issue and try to stop people from littering in our Natural Park. Unfortunately, something they do quite often.
Service Learning Activity by the Italian team on November 11th, classes 3A and 3D
Together with our teachers and engineer Mauro Silvestrini we cleaned the bank of the river Tiber and we collected a lot of rubbish...it was a great experience for us because we felt we gave our contribution to keep our environment clean! We are looking forward to prosecuting this work, maybe in other parts of our town.
Service Learning Activity June 3rd Italy
On June 3rd the Italian pupils from classes 3A and 3D were involved in their first open-air Service Learning activity.
Accompanied by their teachers and by an environmental expert from our Municipality Company, they went to the banks of the river Tiber in the southern area of Trestina, where they actively and responsibly cleaned the pedestrian path along the river. Thanks to the curricular and extra-curricular knowledge they gained during the school year, their work was much more meaningful and attractive.
The activity was preceded by a brainstorming session in class and by a final survey to collect their impressions and assess their level of participation and satisfaction.
