Mobility in France
The French Mobility in Ardres was held from May 15th- May 21st 2022. Once again the students had a great time together.
Day 1 was dedicated to getting to know each other, tour of the school, a fun French lesson which also involved lots of running and fun times and creating the final declaration.
In the morning of day 2 we went to Europe’s biggest aquarium, Grand Nausicaá, in Boulogne-sur-Mer. The French hosts had arranged for us to do a lecture on plastic in oceans and the students showed during the session how much knowledge they have already gotten on the subject.
Afterwards we had time to visit the huge aquarium and research on the 16.000 different species they have.
The afternoon was spent in Cité Europe Mall.
Day 3 started out with a fun activity at Cap. In international groups the students built sculptures out of rocks and we all voted for the biggest and most creative sculpture.. After the big contest we did a beautiful walk along the coast where students had a great time talking together and making new friendships.
After lunch we did a beach clean up on the beach in Calais and lots of different trash was found and sorted in categories.
On day 4 we started out with a visit to the town hall in Ardres. We were welcomed by two administrative staff who told us about the history of Ardres. The visit was followed by a tour of the town which included the local market, a beautiful church and the town square.
The afternoon was filled with tons of fun doing water activities on the local lake.
Day 5 was the big farewell with lots of tears. But before we said goodbye we all signed the final declaration. Furthermore we participated in a film festival. Before the mobility, each country had produced two short films about our school’s recycling systems and the recycling system in our hometowns. The students had done a great job in sharing their new knowledge about plastic and recycling.
