3-3 The Pride of Kaohsiung – Pier-2 Art Center Cultural Hotspot 

֍ Pier-2 Art Center hosts a wide range of diverse art events, attracting a large number of visitors. In 2024 alone, it welcomed over 8.89 million visitors, making it Kaohsiung’s most popular attraction. Events such as the Anime Festival, Little Night Market, and the renowned Great Harbor Music Festival have turned Pier-2 into the city’s trendiest and most creative cultural hub. It draws hipsters, families, and tourists year-round. 

☀︎ 2025 Great Harbor Music Festival ☀︎

Event Overview:
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Megaport Music Festival continues to grow as one of Taiwan’s most iconic music events. It brings together rock, indie music, and youth culture, creating a vibrant cultural experience.

This year’s lineup has stirred excitement with the announcement of Ryoko Hirosue as the festival’s "goddess." International acts include The Flaming Lips (Grammy-winning American psychedelic rock band), QURULI (Japan), Creepy Nuts—famous for their viral hit Bling-Bang-Bang-Born—and WONK, known for their unique fusion of jazz and R&B.

☀︎ 2025 Pier-2 Little Night Market ☀︎
Date: January 29 to February 2, 2025
Location: Pier-2 Art Center, Yancheng District, Kaohsiung

Event Overview:
This year’s visual design is by Huang Siwei, the designer of the Presidential Inauguration Flag Raising Ceremony in 2024. The theme is inspired by "Snake Game", blending the landscape of Kaohsiung's Pier-2 with cheerful depictions of men, women, and children enjoying food and animals while celebrating the lively holiday with a giant snake.

The event, themed "Reunite & Have Fun", will feature 300 brands, offering discounts for those who bring their own containers. Expect exciting performances, including DJ shows, theater troupes, puppet shows combined with DJs, street performers, and a special Hamasen Sightseeing Train to take you on a springtime ride.

☀︎ 2025 Youth Innovative Design Festival ☀︎
Date: May 1 to 4, 2025
Location: Pier-2 Art Center, Dayong and Penglai Warehouse Complex

Event Overview:
The 2025 Youth Innovative Design Festival revolves around the theme "NEXT", with the main visual design created by Yongzhen Ji Zhi, symbolizing the new generation of designers moving forward to the next stage. The dynamic transformation of the letters N, E, X, and T highlights agility, creativity, and a forward-looking vision. With the use of dynamic tension and multimedia applications, the event will showcase creative breakthroughs and evolution.

The festival will feature a youth designer market and independent band performances, presenting a fusion of creativity and energy.

☀︎ 2024 Pier-2 Anime Festival: Doujinshi Creation Exhibition ☀︎
Date: December 14–15, 2024
Location: Pier-2 Art Center, Dayong Area (P2, P3, and Bicycle Warehouse), Penglai Area (B3, B4, and B9 Zhenggang Theater)

Event Overview:
This event features a doujinshi exhibition and sale, Cosplay, Vtuber interactions, model competitions, and live music performances, making it South Taiwan's annual iconic anime celebration.

This year’s festival gathers popular Vtuber teams, including Moon Reading Maid, Spring Fish Creative, and Future Entertainment. In the Penglai Area (B3, B4), there will be a Fantasy Creature Designer Exhibition, a toy market, model competitions, and lectures. The event also includes a retro anime electro party, a Cosplay competition, and special performances by Mayumi Gojo, the singer of Pretty Cure. Join us for an exciting anime celebration!

☀︎ 2023 Pier-2 Gift Festival – Little Hand Gymnastics ☀︎
Date: November 4–19, 2023
Location: Pier-2 Art Center, Dayong P2 Warehouse, Boyou Road, Qian San Pier

Event Overview:
A brand-new event at Pier-2, the "Gift Festival", invites you to release stress and slow down, with the theme "Little Hand Gymnastics". Experience healing through a variety of handmade craft courses. This year’s focus is on pottery creation, where participants can go from crafting to firing their own pottery, creating a unique gift with personal warmth and thoughtfulness. Whether for yourself or loved ones, the good times begin at Pier-2.
