Students begin this unit with an exploration of bicycles and wheels in which they begin counting by 2s.
This leads to an exploration of doubling and even numbers.
They also use five- and ten- frames to add 1 to numbers from 1-10, compare and order numbers, and write equations to show combinations of numbers that have a sum of 5.
